Jardin Design

This sloping, L-shaped garden is lent more character by shaping the space with curves and circles.  Circular steps add interest to the paved patio at the highest point of the garden, and lead to a smaller paved seating area, which enjoys the evening sun and views out of the garden to trees beyond.  The warm sandstone paving is edged with setts, which are also set into the upper patio at random points to break up the paving.  A sandstone sphere water feature adds gentle sound.

In the front garden, curving brick retaining walls and shallow paved steps lead down from the pavement to the porch.
