Orchard and Wildflower Meadow
An area of meadow has been transformed into an orchard and wildflower meadow in memory of a much loved and missed wife and mother. The wildflower meadow was created by stripping turf from a large oval area, and sowing the prepared ground with a mix of annual and perennial wildflower seeds. In its first summer it was buzzing with butterflies and bees! A new orchard was planted using old local Worcestershire varieties of apple, pear, plum, cherry and damson, providing a wide range of fruit in the future for both eating and cooking.
